Happy Early New Year to all my followers and to those of you who stumble upon this blog. : ) As lovely as 2010 was, I'm glad to start off a whole new year. I've learned so much about myself this year; I've discovered what it means to really care about someone and have learned to be independent.
It's funny the way adoration and togetherness can turn into ostracism and nostalgia, the true meaning of friendship and what I want in relationships came to me this year and I am so thankful for having the opportunities that I was given. Goodbye 2010, I will miss you dearly. I can't wait to kick off 2011 in London, England (I won't have access to my blog there so I'm putting this up early). My New Year resolution is to mend the broken pieces that I unwillingly left undone. I hope everyone has a lovely New Year and is welcoming 2011 amiably.  Simple colors, tailored pants, cardigans and flats never looked so magnificent. Audrey Hepburn's simple style is a classic for women around the world. She pairs simple cardigans with cropped pants and keeps within the same color scheme. Her classic beauty and fashion is repeated many times throughout today's world and is still inspiring women to dress clean-cut and even get a fringe. 

Dream a little dream of spring

Every fall, I get annual obsession with flowers in your hair and the whole outdoorsy/hippie thing. I, myself, am a fan of the hippie era, and greatly admire the free love movement along with the rad music played during the 60's. I'm going to dedicate a week/month (I haven't decided yet) long blog post of all things hippie sometime in the future. Nonetheless, here's some pretty pictures of flowers incorporated with fashion:

Us and them

As a girl with brown eyes, I've always felt like they were never as pretty as green, hazel, or blue eyes. But I've recently become quite keen on my brown eyes. Brown eyes are exotic and beautiful so take pride in what you have, everyone's eye color is truly unique and  beautiful. Here are a few definitions of brown eyes (credit to Urbandicitonary):

1)The eye color that the culture seems to have something against. Everyone who has brown eyes wants to wear contacts to have blue eyes, as if they believe that brown eyes are the color of ugliness.

2)A beautiful, gorgeous, exotic eye-color which is extremely appealing but also underappreicated because of how common it is. Brown eyes are dominate over all other eye colors, but they nonetheless make eyes look extremely dramatic especially when they are enormous and framed with long, thick, black lashes, which certainly makes up for their commonness.

3)A beautiful eye color that looks good on all shades of skin and is found all over the world, but even its lack of rareness can't take away its beauty.

Fall is creeping up around my house and I'm quite excited to start wearing tights and cute sweaters with my dresses and clogs. I love the colors of fall, the ruby reds and orange leaves juxtaposition with the pale grays of the sky. : )

In my orchestra group we are playing La Primavera by Antonio Vivaldi. Being pretty stoked to play this beautiful piece I decided to dedicate this post to it, and with such an elegant piece I will post some elegant clothing. Enjoy! : )

The first time I heard Agent Ribbons was in 2008, my friends and I were looking up music on a networking website and came across these lovely ladies. They are from Sacrament, CA and have quirky love songs. I began listening to their songs and they are one of my favorite indie bands. The style of their music has an oldschool feel to it and simple guitar riffs along with orchestral instruments. If you haven't heard of Agent Ribbons, then I highly suggest you look them up.

Summer staples part 1:

Being in a band you can wear whatever you want - it's like an excuse for Halloween everyday.

Summer is slowly ending and with that strappy sandals, flip flops, and of course clogs make their way back to your closet. Although clogs are more of a Summer staple I am most definitely going to wear them as long as the weather is decently sunny, if it is a bit chilly outside I will wear them with some simple tights. Clogs are quite universal with any wardrobe, they work with dresses, rompers, jeans, and shorts.

I have recently discovered how obsessed I am with military/band style jackets. My friends in marching band complain about their shakos and jackets often, but I truly love band uniforms. Perhaps because I don't have to wear them? Either way there is something admirable of an individual in uniform. Military style jackets can be clean-cut and add an extra affect to a wardrobe & append a little splash of edginess to an outfit.

& I'm back. I hope the summer is pleasant and blissful for everyone! I haven't been on that often but I decided to restart this, so I took the pleasure to post a few photos my cousins and I took, amateurishly, voila!
